Sharing Our Love for Community
At Stoke, we are all about community. From our values of inclusivity and authenticity, to the way our staff know our members personally, to the work that we do to support entrepreneurs in Denton - we put people first.
We love our coworking members and they are the core of what we do day in and day out. We care for our members' needs by tending to the space; ensuring that it’s clean and welcoming, and that the fuel and supplies that they need to get their work done are stocked and ready to go. Whether that’s hot coffee, cold beer, extra staples, or a battery for their mouse, we’re thinking about those details to ensure the Stoke member experience is an exceptional one.

We don’t stop at ensuring the space is tidy and well stocked. Stoke staff plan monthly events to bring people together so that the member community is connected and even though they work for different companies - the people around them feel like coworkers. Through our monthly member lunches, happy hours, and special member events like our Valentine’s cheese party, annual pumpkin carving party, or potlucks - we are creating opportunities for people to get to know each other and form relationships. And they do! We have watched many personal and professional relationships form within our walls. It’s not uncommon to see our members having lunch together, taking walks around the building, or chatting at the coffee maker learning from one another or chatting about their weekend plans.
Our community building efforts and love for creating connections between people doesn’t stop in our coworking space. Through our events and programs, we are providing opportunities for the creatives, freelancers, and entrepreneurs of Denton to come together in community, so that they don’t have to try to always go it alone. Whether that is at our annual FlintConf, our quarterly Spark Creative Mixers, or during Global Entrepreneurship Week - we work to provide opportunities for learning and forming connections that are accessible and approachable.

Stoke cares for our members' businesses and we are rooting for their success. We lift up our members by offering platforms to share their knowledge and experience and gain exposure to potential partners or clients. For some, that means speaking at an event or encouraging them to participate in our annual Pitch Competition or Entrepreneur Expo. For others that’s spotlighting their business on our social media or website. And for some that means offering mentorship or connections to people that can help guide them on their entrepreneurial journey. It is a top priority that our members know that we are in their corner and that they are not alone.
For us as a business that also means we are putting our money where our mouth is and are sourcing our needs first from the Denton community first. Currently our exterminator and our electrician are both Stoke members, and we have hired members as designers and consultants on numerous occasions. Beyond that, we always prioritize local businesses first, and women and minority owned businesses whenever possible. Whether that’s where to buy gifts for our staff or speakers, a caterer for our meetings and events, or deciding where to buy artwork or coffee or plants for our office space - we show our appreciation and admiration for the hard working small business owners by spending our money locally.

Whether we’re doing it within our 9,200 sq ft coworking space in SE Denton, at one of our events, or in how we prioritize supporting locally owned businesses in all that we do, Stoke is passionate about community. Cultivating community and empowering entrepreneurs is at the heart of everything that we do, and we hope that through this work we are having a positive impact on the culture and economy of Denton.
We would love to meet you and see how our business can support you and your business’s needs.
