Heather Gregory (she/her)
Owner & Executive Director
Heather Gregory is an ecosystem builder, place maker, community organizer, and entrepreneur based in Denton, TX. Heather has served as the Director of Stoke Coworking since January 2017 and as owner since 2020 making use of her multifaceted background in entrepreneurship, architectural design, nonprofit management, event planning, and program development.
In her time at Stoke, she has launched programs and events that help entrepreneurs connect with the people, knowledge, and resources they need to grow their businesses. Prior to Stoke, she was the Director of SCRAP Denton, project manager at a full-service marketing agency, and the creator and owner of a food truck in Portland, Oregon. Heather serves on the Historic Landmark Commission and the steering committee for Stronger Denton - working to preserve and strengthen the creative culture and local economy of Denton.
Mads Rothamel (she/they) Program Coordinator
Mads Rothamel is a Licensed Master Social Worker born and raised in Denton County with a background in education, nonprofit programming, community outreach, and freelance web design for small business owners. Mads is passionate about social impact, reducing barriers, and creating inclusive spaces where people can connect, grow, and access the resources they need to thrive.
At Stoke, Mads utilizes her interdisciplinary experience to develop and deliver inclusive programming that empowers and supports entrepreneurs in accessing the connections, information, and tools needed to grow their businesses.
Kt Burgess (she/they) facilities + operations manager
KT brings a hands-on, systems-minded approach to Facilities & Operations, shaped by two roles in particular: time spent as a maintenance technician at an assisted living facility, where they learned as much about patience and problem-solving as they did about repair work, and years as an internal operations data analyst, where they discovered a genuine love for digging into systems and finding ways to make them run better. They've also worked in commercial plumbing, carpentry, bartending, and hotel and restaurant hospitality along the way, rounding out a background built on fixing things and connecting with people.
At Stoke, they get to bring both sides of that experience together: the hands-on instincts of a maintenance tech and the data-driven eye of an analyst, all in service of keeping the space running smoothly and always looking for ways to improve it. They love that every day at Stoke is a chance to grow their knowledge and talk to someone interesting.
Mckenna kline (she/her) community + marketing manager
McKenna Kline is a community organizer and creative based in Denton, TX with a background in social work, community education, event planning, and community building. McKenna is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where people can share their talents, support one another, and build lasting relationships.
At Stoke, McKenna combines her experience in community engagement and creative communication to connect members, highlight local businesses, and share the stories and opportunities that make Stoke a resource for Denton’s entrepreneurs and creatives.
Kathleen hobson (they/them) community coordinator
Kathleen is an advocate, educator, and aspiring counselor whose first career was diversity, equity, and inclusion training, event planning, and policy work in higher education. Originally from Ohio, they moved to Denton to open a gender and sexuality resource office, where they served as director for 10 years. They are now in the final chapter of their graduate school journey to obtain a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. When not in the counseling room, they enjoy volunteering and are a proud founding and executive board member of PRIDENTON, a non-profit that facilitates advocacy, events, and ways to connect with the queer and trans community in Denton.
After being a member of Stoke for a few years, Kathleen was thrilled to join the team as the Community Coordinator. They manage front desk operations, prospective member tours, conference room rentals, and daily space maintenance. They support Stoke members through membership installation, mail and package distribution, and in-person and virtual troubleshooting. They support Stoke staff through asssiatnce with marketing, social media, and set-up, staffing, and breakdown of events.
