Denton Startup Crawl

Join Stoke Denton for a fun and educational walking tour of local startups (Kubos, GSATi, From the Future, Square 205 and Ready Rosie). Come see their space and learn how they got their start, what they do, what failures they grew from, and how they are putting Denton on the map. After the startup crawl, participants are invited to Stoke for a reception to enjoy light refreshments and drinks (for 21+). Stoke member companies will also be present to answer questions and tell visitors about their work and the coworking community. Startups are located on the Denton Square or at The Railyard. Total walking distance is about 1.5 miles. RESERVE your spot in the startup crawl here.

Machine Learning: Uses and Misuses

For the latest in the TechMill Summer Series, Danielle Gaither will be talking about machine learning, which has been all over the news lately! Are we about to be overthrown by sentient robots?

Come to think of it, what is machine learning anyway? And is it the right solution for any of the problems you might have? Danielle will provide a brief overview of what machine learning is along with some of its more commonly-used tools. There will also be a discussion of how to use it and how not to use it since no tool is right for every job.

Come enjoy all of this FREE at Stoke, 608 East Hickory Street, on Thursday, August 16th at 6:00 PM. If you can't join us in person, this Meetup will also be streamed via YouTube (link will be posted before the meetup starts).
