“Startup Fundraising: Preparing a Pitch Deck” is the second workshop in the series at Stoke, on Wednesday, November 28th from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. RSVP for the event is required.

What Is A Pitch Deck?

Entrepreneurs and those seeking investment for their businesses develop a presentation, or pitch deck, to persuade decision makers to buy from them, or invest in their business. Precise and succinct, a pitch deck should ensure that the audience’s focus remains on you and your business. Generally, a good pitch deck is developed with the following guidelines:

  • Medium/Design

    • A presentation in the form of PowerPoint, Prezi, Google Slides, or a similar medium

  • Types

    • A pitch deck that you will present

    • A pitch deck that you will potentially send (but only after presenting)

  • Content

    • Slides will typically contain information on the following regarding your business’ products or services:

      • Problem

      • Solution

      • Market

      • Product

      • Traction

      • Team

      • Competition

      • Financials

      • Amount being raised

Learn from Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for FourthWall Media, Patrick Peters, the best practices in designing a pitch deck, the most appropriate and impactful information to include in your own, and how to deliver a winning pitch deck. Peters has worked at the nexus of technology, media, and data, as a founder, first-five team member, executive and mentor. He was a first generation board member of TechMill and works in an advisory capacity with several local startups.

This workshop will be held at Stoke Denton from 1 to 3 PM on Wednesday, November 28th; it is free to attend, but please RSVP for your spot.
