Community Manager
Full-time - 32 hours a week, worked onsite at Stoke over a 4-day work week - hours are 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Pay is $45,000–$49,000/year, depending on experience

We are a small but mighty team looking for someone who genuinely loves people, builds real relationships, and can tell our story well. You’ll be the person our members think of when they think of Stoke - and the voice that brings our community to life for everyone who isn’t in the building yet.
What You’ll Do:
Membership Relationships
Manage and nurture prospective member leads through our CRM
Give tours to prospective members, sharing what makes Stoke special
Own new member onboarding (the welcome, the relationship, the first impression) and offboarding (deactivation, surveys, goodbyes)
Stay active in our Slack community and engaged with members in person
Lead retention conversations when a member is thinking about downgrading or canceling
Handle offboarding conversations with care
Facilitate member connections
Content & Promotion
Content creation - includes copy, graphics, video, newsletters, blog posts, press releases, etc - to promote our space, memberships, events, and programs - keeping assets organized and easy for the team to find
Work in partnership with Program Manager and Facilities + Operations Manager to ensure content is in alignment with internal goals
Manage content calendar and social media postings across Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Write and send our monthly newsletter (plus occasional additional newsletters)
Write and publish 1-2 monthly blog post highlighting members, Stoke programs, or providing expert advice
Keep our website content current and accurate (updating events, photos, etc)
Engage with online community groups to grow awareness of Stoke
Events & Programs
Coordinate, promote, and execute member events - Happy Hours, Huddle, holiday events, and more
Provide support for Stoke programs (Coffee + Convo, Spark, and others), acting as a co-host for our Program Manager
Partner with the Executive Director on new ideas that serve our members and grow our community
Growth
Attend local and regional networking events where our target audience shows up
Build relationships in online community groups (Facebook, Meetup, etc.) that grow awareness of Stoke
Front Desk & Team
Staff the front desk about 1 day a week, creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests and members
Participate in weekly team meetings
Support Stoke staff with operations and programs as needed
Who You Are:
You have customer service and/or sales experience and genuinely enjoy working with all kinds of people
You have exceptional interpersonal and networking skills
You write well - clean, engaging, and consistently in our voice
You’re comfortable with social media and basic content creation tools (Canva or similar)
You can navigate a hard conversation with warmth and directness
You’re dependable, self-motivated, and take pride in doing things right
A passion for entrepreneurship and small business is a plus
