Position Type: Onsite, salaried
Salary: $37,000/year (32 hrs /week)

Position Overview

Stoke seeks a motivated and organized Program Coordinator to join our team. This position will lead the planning and delivery of entrepreneur support programs while also assisting with coworking space operations and member engagement. This role is ideal for someone interested in entrepreneurship, community development, and program and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Program Coordination and Administration (75%)

  • Coordination, planning, organizing, and delivering entrepreneur support programs. 

    • AccelerateHER, Denton Pitch Competition, Global Entrepreneurship Week, FlintConf, Coffee + Convos, and Spark Creative Mixer

  • Coordinate logistics and communication with program participants, speakers, and partners to execute high quality workshops, programs, and events

  • Work closely with Community + Content Manager to ensure all events are posted on social media, website, and community calendars

  • Track attendance, gather feedback, and support basic reporting on program outcomes.

  • Maintain program calendars and prepare materials or digital content.

  • Lead setup and day-of logistics for in-person and virtual events.

Membership and Space Support (25%)

  • Understand the operations of the coworking space and provide support to members and staff when needed

  • Work one day each week at the front desk to provide support to the space, members, and guests

    • This involves welcoming members and guests, handling questions, and ensuring a tidy and well-functioning coworking environment.

  • Participate in member events as much as possible, such as our Happy Hours, Member Huddles, or special events (potlucks, white elephant, etc)

  • Promote our events and programs to the Stoke member community, through word of mouth, slack, online groups, etc. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or in-progress) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of relevant work or internship experience in program coordination, hospitality, and event production

  • Interest in entrepreneurship, economic development, and/or nonprofit or community-based work.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks with minimal oversight.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with tools like Airtable, Slack, or Zoom is a plus.

  • Customer service or event support experience strongly preferred but not required.
