Community Coordinator

Part-time: 25 hours a week to be worked on-site at Stoke during our open hours (M-F 9-5). 

Pay: $15/hour

Stoke Coworking is looking for a dynamic, energetic Community Coordinator (part-time). To be a successful candidate, you should be excited to learn new things and ready to jump in and get to work. 

At Stoke, we are a small but mighty team and we are looking for somebody who can take ownership and pride in their responsibilities. The ideal candidate would have an entrepreneurial spirit, be self-motivated, and enjoy working with people and independently.

Primary Goals and Objectives:

  • Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive, comfortable, and professional environment for all guests and members

  • Maintain and improve the physical space 

  • Engage with and support members through providing excellent community care

  • Support Stoke Staff with other marketing, events, and programing help as needed

Responsibilities:

Hospitality

  • Work front desk - greet guests and members, creating a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly environment

  • Mail and package responsibilities

  • Answer phones and reply to voicemails in a timely fashion

  • Respond to online inquiries about membership, conference room rentals, events, etc

  • Assist with set-up, staffing, and breakdown of events and programs as needed

Space Care

  • Ensure conference rooms, workspaces, and kitchen are clean and tidy every day

  • Order + stock office supplies, coffee, paper goods, cleaning supplies, etc

  • Work through list of space maintenance and organization tasks, bring new ideas for space improvement to the team 

  • Care for plants in the space

Community

  • Answer member and guest questions and help with troubleshooting

  • Be active on the Stoke Slack channel and engage with members in person

  • Participate in member events, provide support as needed

  • Assist with community initiatives designed to develop connections between members, including member introductions 

Experience and Requirements:

  • Customer service and/or sales experience required

  • Punctual and dependable

  • Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills

  • Outstanding multitasking abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Creative and collaborative team player

  • Familiarity with office computer software and social media platforms

  • Demonstrate integrity, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy

  • Ability to work independently

  • Passion for entrepreneurship
