Alex Hargis - Mentor

I have nearly fifteen years of experience working with companies and non-profit organizations on their marketing needs and solutions. Some of my projects include branding, graphic design, art direction, strategy, digital marketing management, lead generation, and event producing.
My career has led me down an amazing path that I never expected. I have led creative teams for the tenth largest Methodist church in the world. I opened the Charles & Dee Wyly Theatre, a $50MM AIA award-winning facility, at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. I have served as the executive producer for the Reliant Lights Your Holidays event in the Downtown Dallas Arts District and as the operations director for the transformative Aurora festival: the art of light, video, and sound. My latest adventure is serving as the executive director for the newly accredited Downtown Plano Arts District, helping them bring exposure and tourism to the neighborhood with programming and placemaking initiatives. When not in Plano, I run my own creative agency in Denton, TX providing a range of marketing services for local businesses.

I'd like to mentor on messaging and marketing channel strategy, community building through corporate partnerships and experiential marketing.
